Owner & Operator of Lorraine-Michaels Dance Centre. She teaches Silver IV Ballroom, Silver/Gold Ballroom, Intermediate Ballroom, American Tango & Waltz, Samba, Advanced Big House Ballroom, Intermediate Big House Ballroom, and the Kinderhook Ballroom classes. Tony

Tony DiSarro has studied Martial Arts for 25+ years and has Instructor Level Certification in 3 martial art styles. He also has been teaching Kickboxing for 15+ years. He teaches Kickboxing Monday thru Friday from 6-7PM.

Juan

Loves the Latin Dances, but can do much more!  He is skilled in all styles of dancing. He teaches Beginner and Intermediate Salsa, Argentine Tango, Bachata, & the Hustle/Swing class. Also available for Private Lessons and Wedding Package Lessons.

Robert

His favorite dance is the Bolero but well versed in many other Ballroom and Latin Dances.  He teaches Learn to Dance Ballroom, Latin & Swing. Also available for Private Lessons & Wedding Package Lessons.

Clarens

Known for his style & technique in Latin dances such as Samba and Cha Cha but is also experienced in many other styles of dance. He teaches Latin Mix, Learn to Dance Ballroom, Latin & Swing, and Intermediate Ballroom. Also available for Private Lessons & Wedding Package Lessons.

Beau

Started dancing in 1982 at the beginning of the Breakdance movement. He was a featured dancer on MTV's "The Grind" and has been teaching in the Capital District for the last 10 years. He teaches the Adult Breakdancing and Kids Breakdancing classes. Also available for Private Lessons.

Sara

Teaches the Hip Hop class and has been dancing Ballroom and Latin for many years.  Also available for Private Lessons.

Joannne

Teaches our Line Dancing class to all styles of music including Country Western, Cha Cha, Waltz, Hip Hop, Pop and more. Also available for Private Lessons.

Margaret

Has been teaching and performing Belly Dance for years. She teaches Belly Dancing on Wednesdays. Also available for private lessons.

Vaughn has been teaching Exotic and Pole Dancing for 5 years. She was featured in the Times Union Healthy Living Magazine in 2012.  Also available for Private Lessons & Bachelorette Parties.

S.L. loves playing Old School and New R&B/Hip Hop in her Pole and Pole 2 classes. Also available for Private Lessons & Bachelorette Parties.


Heather is very passionate about the art of Pole Dancing. She has taken classes to become a certified Pole Fitness instructor and is contantly learning new moves to teach in her classes on Wednesday nights. Also available for Private Lessons and Bachelorette Parties.


Nikoleta is currently enrolled at SUNY Albany. She has been teaching Belly Dancing at the Dance Centre for the past 2 years. She loves performing at our Dance Parties. 

Known throughout the bodybuilding world as the “Physique Artist Extraordinaire” and has one of the most exciting and entertaining posing routines this sport has to offer. He teaches Fitness Posing on Wednesdays.

David “Doc” Whittaker is a veteran stage actor and has a long list of TV commercials. He has danced professionally for more than 25 years. As a teacher, some of his former students include: Jeffrey Beisel ( Overall champion of TV’s Fear Factor), Carlos Queliz (America’s Most Wanted), Jonathan Vieira ( Concert pianist, Producer- Aruba TV), Colby O’Donis ( Nominated for Grammy & Winner of Teen Choice Award for “Just Dance” with Lady Gaga, his first single featuring Akon) and others currently in LA and NYC.

 

Dance Cards
Dance Cards are available to purchase for anything our Dance Centre teaches.  Starting purchase price is $12.00.  Purchase a Wedding Package and give to the Engaged Couple to have a choreographed First Dance as husband and wife on there Wedding Day.  Introduce someone you know to the World of Dance by presenting them with a Single Dance Class.   Stop in or call our Dance Centre to purchase your  Dance Card.  Each Dance Card becomes Void/Invalid/Expires in ONE YEAR from the date of purchase.  No Refunds, Credits, Exchanges or Transfers once purchased. 
Pricing & Payment Policies

Payment is accepted in the form of CASH, PERSONAL CHECKS (Name & Address Imprinted) and CREDIT CARDS (AMEX, MasterCard, Discover & Visa).

$40.00 Per Person for a 4-Week Group Class applies to the following Classes:  Kickboxing; Line Dancing; ZUMBA

 

$60.00 Per Person for a 4-Week Group Class applies to the following Group Classes: Beginner or Intermediate Salsa; Advanced or Intermediate Ballroom; Hustle/Swing; Learn to Dance Ballroom, Latin & Swing; Latin Mix; Advanced/Performance Big House Ballroom; Samba; Argentine Tango (All Levels); Breakdancing (Kids or Adults); Hip Hop; Belly Dancing (All Levels); Exotic; The Pole; The Pole 2; Pole Fitness; Fitness Posing

 

$200.00 Per Person for a 10-Week Group Class applies to the following Group Classes:  American Tango/Waltz & Silver/Gold Ballroom.

Lorraine-Michaels Dance Centre Policies

REFUND POLICY:  Once a Class/Private Lesson/Event etc.  is purchased from the Lorraine-Michaels Dance Centre, there are NO REFUNDS, CREDIT, EXCHANGES or TRANFERS.

CHECK CHARGES:  If your check is returned for insufficient funds, there will be a charge of $25.00 plus any additional bank charges/fees.

DECLINED CREDIT CARD FEE:  If a Credit Card is Declined, there will be an assessed fee of $10.00 to reprocess the transaction.

MAKE-UP'S: If a student finds they cannot attend a class, 24-hour notice is required in order to get a Make-Up. It is your responsibility to pick up your makeup slip prior to the time of the class that you wish to take as a makeup. You can not take a class without a makeup slip. You can not pick up the slip prior to missing the class. Please note, however, that the Make-Up cannot be done in the same class it was originally purchased for BUT can be used in a different class.  This was designed for you to have an opportunity to experience another class Lorraine-Michaels Dance Centre offers. Any Make-Up’s EXPIRE THREE WEEKS from the date of the missed class. If 24 hour notice is NOT given, the student will forfeit/lose that Make-Up class. 

PRIVATE LESSONS and/or EVENTS:  In order to schedule a Private Lesson/Event, payment must be made in full in order to schedule their requested time.  If a student/group finds they cannot make their scheduled Private Lesson/Event, 24-hour notice is required in order to reschedule.  If 24-notice is NOT given, the student/group will be charged for the scheduled time.

CANCELLATIONS BY THE CENTRE:  If a class needs to be canceled by the Lorraine-Michaels Dance Centre, each student will be given that class PLUS receive an additional class. (Example:  weather, lack of power, etc.)

CANCELLATION OF A CLASS:  If a class does have the minimum number of students (5), the Centre has the right to cancel the class for lack of enrollment.  Students also registered for the class will be contacted and given the opportunity to move into a different class and receive an ADDITIONAL class for the inconvenience.
